Anglo (German) Concertina

Chemnitzer System: Uhlig, 40 tones

bisonoric, logical
(Collection Oriwohl, Nr. B-29)

Manufacture: around 1900
Tone stock: G/D major, 2-course (4'+2'), (H: 20cm),
Zinc reedplates with brass reeds

Although this model was only built around 1900, its two-row keyboard corresponds to those of the very early concertinas (before 1840). Even today, instruments are still made according to this keyboard concept.

Anglo Concertina were widely used in Great Britain and the USA because, unlike the high-quality English concertina, they were cheaper mass-produced goods.
