Although this model was only built around 1900, its two-row keyboard corresponds to those of the very early concertinas (before 1840). Even today, instruments are still made according to this keyboard concept.
Anglo Concertina were widely used in Great Britain and the USA because, unlike the high-quality English concertina, they were cheaper mass-produced goods.

The housing shape commonly used in Germany was square. For marketing reasons, however, German instrument makers also copied the hexagonal shape of the English concertina, which was successful in England and the USA.
In these instruments, known as Anglo (German) concertina, however, there was the German soundpost construction in contrast to the English flat board chambers. A Anglo (German) concertina is a Deutsche Konzertina in a hexagonal case.
In the case of three-row instruments, both types of concertina differ in the tone assignment of the third row: the Deutsche Konzertina contains a third key, the Anglo (German) concertina chromatic supplementary tones for his two keys.
