Autoharp (Accord-Zither-Harfe)
Stringed instrument: K.A. Gütter, C.F. Zimmermann
(No part of Collection Oriwohl)
This stringed instrument, also known as the Autoharp (in German also: Volkszither or Accord-Zither-Harfe), is also presented here, even though it does not have any free reeds. But like an accordion, it has ready chords.
One key can be used to define a chord consisting of several individual notes.
The functional principle of the accordion was transferred to the zither.
