The Bandonola, with its ready chords and single reedplates, must be described more as an accordion become. Only the case proportions and the right manual placed on the side with thumb hole correspond to a bandonion.
In contrast to the two previous bandonikas, a mechanical coupled bass was installed here, which is very similar to the standard bass.
Left side:

Compared to the standard bass, the pitch direction is reversed and the rows of the major and minor triads are swapped.

The humming box typical of a bandonion was adopted for the Bandonola.
This resonance chamber, which is additional to the housing, amplifies the low frequency components of the bass tones, which makes a fuller timbre.

In the lower part of the picture is the chord with its 12 (at the picture) horizontal control shafts and vertical sliders for the mechanical generation of the Chords recognizable.
Above this there are another 12 waves to control the 12 single basses. The respective 12 valves per section are not visible under the control shafts.
